The Gap Outlet is closing
Unfortunately for us, our hall, ahem I mean mall, is receiving a serious set-back. The Gap outlet store is closing by the end of the month. Unfortunately I haven't any cash and it is already looking pretty picked over. By the time I get any cash it will all be gone. Poor Peanut, this is a blow to her wardrobe. I think that the Old Navy is what did the Gap in, how can you compete? I hope our mall gets some new stores soon because we lost the Crate and B Dalton as well. Next thing you know, we could lose a biggie. I just hope it isn't JC Penney or Belk. That would be an interesting sale.

Since the Gap owns Old Navy, I guess it just wasn't going to work with both of them in the long term. The mall is really struggling with the smaller stores, looks like a ghost town in there now. Hard to understand why they are building more strip centers on Silver Bluff Rd. while we can't fill half the buildings that are already in existence on Whiskey Rd.
